The 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting of ASIA

For the past eight years, Kristen Radcliff, MD, has served as a spinal surgeon at the Rothman Institute in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, where he treats conditions such as spinal stenosis and herniated discs. To remain connected to new developments in his field and network with his peers, Kristen Radcliff, MD, maintains membership in the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA).

On May 2-4, 2018, ASIA will hold its annual Scientific Conference in Rochester, Minnesota, at the Mayo Civic Center. Among presentations by other notable speakers, the event will feature keynote addresses from John Walsh Centre for Rehabilitation Research professor Lisa Harvey, Ph.D., and Dr. Wolfram Tetzlaff, who serves as the director of the International Collaboration on Repair Discoveries (ICORD) in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Another feature of the event is the pre-course in Comprehensive Non-Traumatic Myelopathy that will be held one day prior to the event’s official opening. The course will host some of the foremost authorities in the areas of multiple sclerosis, metabolic myelopathy, and neuromyelitis optica, among other conditions. About Kristen Radcliff

New Jersey-based orthopedic and spinal surgeon Dr. Kris Radcliff has over a decade of medical experience working across the country. Over his career, he has focused his practice on spinal surgeries, building extensive experience in minimally invasive surgeries, artificial disc replacement, and reconstructive surgery. He treats a variety of conditions including disc herniations, spinal stenosis, spinal cord compression, radiculopathy, myelopathy, and scoliosis. Dr. Radcliff is a regular invited lecturer and faculty at national and international spine meetings, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Joint Section American Academy of Neurological Surgeons/Congress of Neurological Sections Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerve meeting, International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery meeting, and Contemporary Technique in Minimally Invasive Cervical and Lumbar Spine Surgery Course. Dr. Radcliff is an associate professor of both orthopedic and neurological surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. As a physician, Dr. Kris Radcliff works at the prestigious Rothman Institute where he practices spinal surgery exclusively.

Alongside his work as a physician and educator, Dr. Radcliff is actively interested in research on improving the outcome and safety of spinal surgery. He has authored over 100 published medical research articles exploring potential improvements to spinal surgeries, the economic costs of surgeries, complications of spinal surgeries, and learning techniques of spinal surgery. He has received numerous plaudits and awards for his work at national meetings including:

He has previously served as a guest editor at the Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research Symposium and Seminars in Spine Surgery Issues.

Kristen Radcliff earned his MD at Duke University School of Medicine. He is an alumnus of Harvard University, where he earned a BA in biology. He trained in orthopedic surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine. He specialized in spinal surgery in a fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University.
